Create authentic breads from Italy

Come and join Danielle for one of her Italian baking classes and learn how to make some authentic Italian bakes to enjoy with your friends and family. Danielle will share her top tips and techniques you need to create your very own Italian bakes at home as well as introducing you to some delicious flavour combinations that work well to make these dishes impressive.

Come and join Danielle in this Italian baking class as she guides you through the stages to create your very own ciabatta bread and tips just in time for the Jubilee celebrations. It’s easy to think of ciabatta as a traditional Italian bread that’s been around for a long time. However, it was invited in the early 1980s as a riposte to the popularity of French baguettes in Italy. This recipe introduces biga, a yeasted starter which gives strength and flavour to the dough made the day before it is needed. Ready to make slippers? Ciabatta is slipper in Italian.

What you’ll learn:

  • To make a variety of Italian breads
  • To learn tips and techniques to create great bread every time
  • Discover the equipment you do and don’t need to make bread
  • Tahini and yogurt dip
  • Walnut dip
  • Garlic and anchovy dip

Do seek out some good olive oil, anchovies and tahini

This baking class is suitable for novices and enthusiasts to baking thanks to Danielle’s teaching style and classic recipes.

What you’ll need:

We’ll send you the recipes and what you need in advance of your class but have a look below for a standard list of equipment:
