Learn Italian Intermediate Class

Course Outline

This 6 week Italian Intermediate course will be an opportunity for students to progress to a higher level of the language. It will be a balance of grammar instructions and student activities such as small group conversations, role-play, whole group discussions, as well as individual presentations and exercises. Readings.

Cultural videos will be used to introduce more about Italy and also to practice the listening and comprehension. Written Assignments (emails, letters, and short compositions) will also be part of the course.

Students will progress by using different parts of the grammar appropriately; they will speak fluently using also idiomatic expressions and engaging in more conversations on different topics.

Students will be familiar with different tenses to describe with confidence present and past events/situations; to plan future events. They will be able to express feelings and opinions using a more extensive vocabulary; they will become familiar with the formal language too.

Students will improve listening skills with a better understanding of conversations as well as the reading, using different sources; Students will also improve the writing abilities by composing pieces of writing, descriptions and written exercises.

Above all, Students will have a better understanding of the Italian culture, traditions, customs and geography. The Course will promote the Italian culture and virtually take students in Italy.
