Well being for your body, mind and soul

At any age and fitness level Pilates will improve your posture, mobility, flexibility, core strength. This Pilates matwork class is suitable for all levels and focuses on working on your alignment, posture, core stability, and spinal movements. You’ll be guided through stretches and mobility work for your hips and shoulders, before moving into strengthening exercises inspired by Classical Pilates using your body weight. Finally, you’ll work through exercises to help with lengthening your spine, before taking a moment to relax.

What you’ll learn:

  • Learn classical Pilates exercises created by Joseph Pilates
  • Reduce back pain, improve your posture, strengthen your core
  • Increase your muscle flexibility and stretch all your body
  • To take a full practice at your own pace

What you’ll need:

Our Pilates Instructors would advise you to wear comfortable clothing, have a mat or a towel to lie on and space to stretch out to take part in our Pilates matwork class.

Mandy Parr is an experienced Body Control Pilates instructor and a firm believer in incorporating Pilates into your daily routine so it becomes your way of life! She’s been teaching Pilates since 2003, and is trained in Intermediate and Advanced Matwork.

Charlotte Charlotte Cirell qualified as a Body Control Pilates teacher in 2003. She loves teaching and practising Pilates for the flexibility and strength benefits and the feel-good factor after every class. Charlotte specialises in Pilates for low back pain, pregnancy and bone health.

Ele Pilates teacher

Eleanor Crossland is a Level 3 Body Control Pilates teacher, focusing on the benefits of non-impact exercise to strengthen and tone the body. Ele shares her passion for Pilates with both new and experienced learners, and takes pleasure in teaching people to develop their strength, confidence and enthusiasm through workouts.

Sharon has been teaching Pilates since 2008. She worked in the pharmaceutical industry for 11 years as well as being a holistic therapist and trainer. As a Reiki Master she loves to meditate daily and would love you to join in.

Joining our live classes

Our ‘live’ classes will take place via Zoom. We’d recommend using a laptop or desktop if possible to make it easier for you to take part. Upon booking your class, you will receive an email confirmation with full details of how to join and your link to the zoom class.

This hour long matwork Pilates class is suitable for all levels and focuses on working on your alignment, posture, core stability, and spinal movements.
