Are you looking to learn Italian or want to improve your existing language skills? Come and get a taste of the ‘Dolce Vita’ with our friendly Italian tutors and Learn Italian online.
Our experienced tutors are native Italian speakers who are passionate about the Italian language, customs, and culture and give you a true sense of life in Italy.
On our online Italian classes, you’ll learn to converse like a native from the comfort of your own home! Our small group classes have no more than 7 people, so you’ll feel at ease with your fellow students as you practice your Italian and make new friends. We offer both beginners and intermediate classes, with lessons designed to perfectly build upon your current knowledge and skills. You may even enjoy a ‘virtual apertivo’!
Class or course-What should I choose?
Our online classes are 1 hour drop in sessions where you can practice your conversational Italian or watch one of our chefs cook in Italian and explain the ingredients and culture of their region in their native tongue. The beginners learn Italian classes is perfect for those looking to start their Learn Italian experience with us or maybe are new to online learning. The Aperitivo conversational classes are for those who have good knowledge of Italian and are comfortable conversing in Italian.
Our online courses are six 1 hour classes over a 6 week period where you focus on a different aspect of grammar, practice speaking and learn about the culture alongside your tutor and fellow students. As you progress through the course, your tutor will give you regular feedback and will confirm the next stage for you to progress through.
Our online courses progression is outlined below:
- Complete Beginners Course
- Advanced Beginners Level 1
- Advanced Beginners Level 2
- Intermediate
After this stage your tutor will confirm what level you move to and will tailor a course to suit your group. Please note that you can start the courses at any level that is relevant to you.

In this 6 week intermediate learn Italian course, our tutor will take you through a series of themes and topics incorporating local culture and tradition to further enhance your knowledge of Italian vocabulary and grammar.

Italian with Carlo Lenoci
Carlo is an Italian linguistics and philology graduate of the University of Milan, and has taught Italian in a number of language schools in Edinburgh. Carlo teaches our intermediate classes, and focuses on teaching you to speak like a native Italian. You’ll find yourself immersed in conversation as your confidence grows.
Italian with Francesca Seminara
Francesca comes from a primary school teaching background in Italy. She’s been teaching Italian to adult learners in Edinburgh for over a decade. Francesca teaches our beginners, advanced beginners and intermediate classes, and is passionate about instilling confidence in her students as they progress through the course.
