Cook with Livia Giovanni

Livia Giovanni has been a Flavours chef for over 15 years and has been cooking almost her life. She’s an expert in all kinds of pastas and has mastered the teaching skills required to make it easy to learn! Livia will transport you to the rolling hills of Bologna and Tuscany as she guides you through dishes such as Tortelli di Ortica and Lasagne di Zucchine.

Cook with Carla Zanardi

Carla Zanardi is our very own Sicilian ‘Mama’. Carla has been teaching her Sicilian delights for over 10 years with Flavours and can turn any novice into a master chef by the end of her lessons. You’ll get immersed in Sicilian culture and traditions as you cook dishes such as Polpette al limone and Caponata – so much so you’ll feel as though you were surrounded by olive groves and azure seas.

Cook with Louise Macdonald

Louise MacDonald is based in Highland Perthshire, she is our chef on our staycations and our guests love her traditional cooking and baking. Louise has many years of experience and her enjoyment of Seasonal Cooking for groups has led her to take it up professionally. Louise loves sharing her recipes- she uses the best of local ingredients to create delicious Scottish dishes.

Cooking with Letitia Clark

Originally from Devon, Letitia Clark is a chef, illustrator and author who has pursued her love of food throughout her career. She trained at Leiths School of Food and Wine, before working in many London restaurants. After 10 years in London, she relocated to sunny Sardinia to write, draw and cook full-time

Learn Painting with Douglas Matthews

Douglas is a graduate of Glasgow School of Art (Drawing & Painting) and has been teaching art to adults and secondary school pupils both in the UK and the Middle East since he graduated. For 16 years he was the water colour tutor at the Holyrood Art Club in Edinburgh and has run private painting groups at his home since his return to Scotland in 2000.

Learn Painting with Hugh Tuckerman

Hugh Tuckerman is a graduate of the Edinburgh College of Art who’s been teaching art and design to both school pupils and adults for 30 plus years. Now a full-time professional artist, he works with watercolour, acrylic and oil mediums. He also does printmaking and photography, and exhibits his works in a number of private collections nationwide.

Mark Holden is a professional artist who has exhibited his works in galleries across Scotland. He takes on private art projects commissioned by clients across Europe. Mark works with oils, acrylics and watercolours, with a wide-ranging focus on landscapes, classic cars and skiing.

Learn Painting with Michael Gahagan

Michael Gahagan is an accomplished artist and professional business and life coach who delivers painting and drawing tuition in an engaging, relaxing, fun and supportive style to people of all artistic abilities. His animal illustrations have also appeared in numerous articles and books. Artistic subject matter includes landscapes, seascapes, still life and wildlife.

Ciara Menzies is a professional photographer based in Edinburgh. Her works are story driven and this has led her to travel across the globe. Ciara specialises in portrait photography, taking great delight in telling visual stories of both people and places through a series of images. She uses photography to show something of who the people  are, through what she sees.

Justin Adams is the Managing Director and Principal Creative of an Edinburgh based company called LA Media. He set this up in 2001 after a long and successful career as a producer/director with the BBC. He is an experienced camera operator, sound recordist, multi-camera studio director, fully qualified drone pilot and a passionate advocate of the iPhone.

Italian with Carlo Lenoci

Carlo is an Italian linguistics and philology graduate of the University of Milan, and has taught Italian in a number of language schools in Edinburgh. Carlo teaches our intermediate classes, and focuses on teaching you to speak like a native Italian. You’ll find yourself immersed in conversation as your confidence grows.

Italian with Francesca Seminara

Francesca comes from a primary school teaching background in Italy. She’s been teaching Italian to adult learners in Edinburgh for over a decade. Francesca teaches our beginners classes, and is passionate about instilling confidence in her students as they progress through the course.

Noemi Spanish Tutor

Learn Spanish with Noemi

Our Spanish classes are a fun way to learn and develop our Spanish language skills whilst learning about the culture and traditions of Spain itself. This is a great chance for you to practice with your fellow students and chat all things Spain.

Yoga Class with Aggie MacKenzie-£12

Aggie MacKenzie, a journalist and broadcaster, probably best known for co-presenting Channel 4’s How Clean is your House?. Aggie has been a yoga practitioner for years and decided to take her love for yoga to the next level. She has been qualified since July 2017, and teaches small groups or one-to-ones, mainly from her home in north London and at workplaces.

Yoga with Emma

Emma Henry was a yoga practitioner for over ten years before she embarked on her first teacher training course in 2017. With over 450 hours of training, Emma teaches from a place of building a true and accepting relationship with ourselves. Trained in variable anatomy, Emma doesn’t believe that “one size fits all” and encourages students to empower themselves to make their yoga shapes work for their unique body.

Yoga with Dawn

Dawn Clark has been in the fitness industry for over 15 years and teaches many different styles of classes – Les Mills Balance, Pump, Jam, Core, Tone, Barre, Spin- even aqua and zumba! In 2015 she did her Yoga course and has been teaching Yoga in studio and online both one to one and in groups. She believes that aligning Yoga to the seasons enables us to be truly present.

Catherine Crompton trained as a Pilates instructor after she used Pilates as a rehabilitation method after an injury. She values Pilates as she knows firsthand that it can help with many medical conditions including stress and anxiety. Catherine is a certified Level 3 Matwork instructor, as well as a back care professional.

Pilates with Charlotte Cirell

Charlotte Cirell qualified as a Body Control Pilates teacher in 2003, following a career break. She loves teaching and practising Pilates for the flexibility and strength benefits and the feel-good factor after every class. Charlotte specialises in Pilates for low back pain, pregnancy and bone health.

Pilates with Eleanor Crossland

Eleanor Crossland is a Level 3 Body Control Pilates teacher, focusing on the benefits of non-impact exercise to strengthen and tone the body. Ele shares her passion for Pilates with both new and experienced learners, and takes pleasure in teaching people to develop their strength, confidence and enthusiasm through workouts.

Mandy Parr is an experienced Body Control Pilates instructor and a firm believer in incorporating Pilates into your daily routine so it becomes your way of life! She’s been teaching Pilates since 2003, and is trained in Intermediate and Advanced Matwork.
