A morning routine for all seasons

This seasonal flow yoga class will set you up for the day. This practice aligns the changing energies of nature and the seasons in a flow style class that will improve your physical strength and flexibility, giving you balance, harmony and an enhanced sense of well-being. All levels are welcome, with options for poses being provided. This method of yoga is as an antidote to the stress and anxiety of modern life.

Spring is the element of wood in seasonal yoga (from 21st of March-20th of June)

Spring focuses on the liver and the gall bladder and the wood element of spring is all about needing to be challenged and stretched into the new season, cleansing and re-oxygenating the body so physical stretching is vital. During this class you will be doing lots of side bends and squats to open up energy pathways for the liver and the gallbladder.

What you’ll learn:

  • Learn traditional yoga postures aligned to each season
  • Breathing exercises to promote good health & balance
  • To take a full practice at your own pace

What you’ll need:

Our Yoga Instructor would advise you to wear comfortable clothing to join this seasonal flow yoga class and if you have them to hand you can bring a couple of yoga blocks, (big books); a strap (a dressing gown cord works well!) and a blanket.

Your Instructor

Dawn Clark has been in the fitness industry for over 15 years and teaches many different styles of classes – Les Mills Balance, Pump, Jam, Core, Tone, Barre, Spin- even aqua and zumba! In 2015 she did her Yoga course and has been teaching Yoga in studio and online both one to one and in groups. She believes that aligning Yoga to the seasons enables us to be truly present.

Joining our live classes

Our ‘live’ classes will take place via Zoom. We’d recommend using a laptop or desktop if possible to make it easier for you to take part. Upon booking your class, you will receive an email confirmation with full details of how to join and your link to the zoom class.
