All you need to know about Pilates
Whether you’re new to Pilates or haven’t practised in a while this introduction to Pilates class is a great way to find out more about the Pilates method and how it can benefit you.
In this session we will take a look at what Pilates is, how it can help you in your daily life and activities and explore the core principles of Pilates through some simple exercises.We’ll also take a look at some of the building blocks so that you feel confident and prepared to practise Pilates.
This class is suitable for beginner level, or anyone who hasn’t practiced for quite a while and is looking to refresh the Pilates ability.
What you’ll learn:
- Learn about the core principles of Pilates and methods
- Top tips on how to Pilates can benefit you in your day to day life
- You will gain a greater understanding and confidence to get started with Pilates
What you’ll need:
All you need is some clothing that you can move easily in, an exercise/yoga or Pilates mat and a slim cushion to place under your head.
Eleanor Crossland is a Level 3 Body Control Pilates teacher, focusing on the benefits of non-impact exercise to strengthen and tone the body. Ele shares her passion for Pilates with both new and experienced learners, and takes pleasure in teaching people to develop their strength, confidence and enthusiasm through workouts.
Joining our live classes
